Job Title: Construction Site Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve site coordination and design queries independently or in collaboration with design engineers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Liaise with mechanical/electrical design engineers to resolve site design queries and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Advise on technical aspects affecting construction progress, quality, and safety to minimize delays and costs.
  • Respond to design RFIs in coordination with design engineers to address client concerns and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Review contractor work on site for adherence to quality requirements, shop drawings, and approved design specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Ensure engineering coordination between contractors and engineers to avoid conflicts and delays.
  • Conduct site observations/inspections for electrical services work, checking compliance with specifications, schedule, and health & safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare ongoing list of MEP services defects for contractor remedial actions to maintain project momentum.
  • Attend project, site progress, and technical meetings as directed by the site in-charge to stay informed about project developments.
  • Prepare draft site/engineer instructions relating to MEP services to facilitate effective communication.
  • Advise on variation costs claimed by contractors to ensure transparency and fairness.
  • Review and comment on Operation and Maintenance manuals to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit site visit reports monthly to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
