Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Coordination & Compliance

  • Oversee site works to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements.

  • Liaise with client's Construction Management (CM), Design Engineer (DE), Owner's Engineer, and contractors.

  • Attend site coordination, progress, and benchmarking meetings.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and acceptance tests for electrical and MEP systems.

Inspection & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct systematic inspections of materials, equipment, and workmanship as per the Inspection Test Plan.

  • Approve mock-ups and quality benchmarks.

  • Monitor and certify as-built drawings and completion reports.

  • Take and maintain time-stamped photographic records of site progress.

  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for deviations from design/specifications.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain a daily site diary with detailed progress and incident records.

  • Issue weekly progress reports with photographs.

  • Track design modifications, procedural changes, and potential cost impacts.

  • Respond to RFIs and technical submittals within agreed timelines.

Safety & Issue Resolution

  • Identify and escalate safety or performance issues impacting quality or schedule.

  • Provide immediate instructions in emergencies to ensure site safety.

  • Coordinate with statutory authorities during inspections and keep minutes of meetings.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Data Centre construction and MEP systems.

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.

  • Membership of relevant statutory/trade bodies (as applicable).

  • 10–12 years of experience in site management for Data Centre design and construction projects.

  • Proven experience coordinating between client site teams and consultant design teams.
