Job Role: Application Tester

  • We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Application Tester, focusing on automated functional and performance testing for RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop, and execute automated tests that validate API functionality across diverse platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration testing with Kafka messaging systems.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows, including message production and consumption across distributed services.
  • Work in a containerized environment supporting microservices-based architectures.
  • Maintain and enhance automated test scripts, test cases, and test data.
  • Leverage tools like Postman, JMeter, and custom frameworks to validate API interactions.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor and analyze logs using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for debugging and validation.
  • Report and track defects, and participate in root cause analysis and test plan reviews.
  • Contribute to improving overall QA strategy and test coverage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, JMeter, and custom frameworks.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments and microservices-based architectures.
  • Knowledge of Kafka messaging systems and their integration with APIs.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills.
