API Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled API Design Specialist to join our organization. As an API Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing Rest APIs, Java Spring boot, and other data streaming services.

  • Design and develop new as well as update Rest API and Kafka event Services
  • Define endpoints, data formats, and authentication methods, while also considering factors like security, performance, and best practices
  • Understand business requirements and translate them to API Design
  • Build integration solution with IBM MDM AE product, Mongo DB and Kafka
  • Implement API design best practices and use modern API design patterns
  • Support technical planning, estimation, development, testing and UAT support
  • Participate in production incident analysis and issue resolution

Required Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of experience in designing and developing Rest APIs, Java Spring boot, and other data streaming services
  • Java Spring boot
  • Experience on UML or BPMN, workflow design
  • Working knowledge of SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, Postman
  • Experience working with Oracle, Mongo DB, and SQL
  • Technical writing skills, good oral and written communications, and presentation skills

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience designing and developing Rest APIs and other data streaming services. They should also have excellent technical writing skills, good oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing new and updated Rest APIs and Kafka event services
  • Defining endpoints, data formats, and authentication methods
  • Understanding business requirements and translating them to API Design
