Application Support Analyst Role Description

">
  • We are part of an engineering group responsible for providing application support with an engineering mindset. Our team provides end-to-end follow-the-sun support services for applications and platforms within the engineering community, including SDLC tools and applications.
  • We seek a highly motivated individual to join our team and contribute to compliance operations under the engineering umbrella. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities of teams under the compliance operations stream.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Provide SDLC governance support for projects within Deutsche Bank.
  • Resolve application on-boarding and control verification requests.
  • Resolve work requests submitted by end users on SDLC tools governance, controls, and processes.
  • Conduct generic and specific training sessions and walkthroughs on SDLC governance and platform.
  • Conduct release requirements walkthrough and enablement sessions to educate control owners and users.
  • Perform release testing and validation activities on SDLC Platform.
  • Monitor and report compliance rates and other related metrics.
  • Coordinate, educate, and assist application teams in closing controls.
  • Verify evidence provided by application teams on closed controls.
  • Ensure quality assurance - Release requirements gathering, preparing test cases, UAT, regression, defect management, and production validation testing for SDLC governance releases.
  • Document all knowledge and maintain up-to-date knowledge articles.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews for applications.
  • Approach support with a proactive attitude, working to improve the environment before issues occur.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an analyst providing hands-on IT support and interacting with application end-users.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

">
  • Experience in investment banks, financial institutions, or large corporations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in computer science or an IT-related discipline (or equivalent work experience or diploma).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and executives.
  • Understanding of ITIL and best practices for supporting production environments.
  • Ability to work across countries, regions, and time zones with diverse cultures and technical capabilities.
  • Exposure to automation tools.
  • Working knowledge and experience in SDLC tools, processes, SDLC governance, controls, and compliance.
  • Experience in CI/CD, DevOps tools, and practices.
  • Technical/operations support roles.
  • Power Apps knowledge required.
  • Experience in verifying evidence for various SDLC controls.
  • Training and educating developers and end-users on SDLC processes, governance, and controls.
  • Strong understanding and working experience of Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
  • ServiceNow features and release management processes.

Education / Qualifications
