Facility Operations Manager

Prioritizing the facilities needs is a vital part of this role. As the Facility Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property and ensure that all administrative functions, security issues, and facility services are covered.

  • Working with both the facilities manager and the assistant facilities manager, you'll be responsible for prioritizing tasks and ensuring that all operational aspects of the property are running smoothly.
  • You'll also strive for continuous improvement in the process by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes as needed.
  • In addition to managing day-to-day operations, you'll also be responsible for maintaining adequate stocks and materials to support smooth operations.
  • This includes managing supply and service contracts as approved by clients, taking part in emergency evacuation procedures, and handling crisis management and business continuity plans.
  • You'll also be responsible for monitoring health and safety issues that may arise and actively participating in reviewing them.
  • As the person in charge, you'll make sure that there's enough petty cash to support operations and see to it that vendor invoice processes comply with standards.

Going above and beyond expectations is crucial in this role. As the Facility Operations Manager, you'll take on difficult issues and seek out opportunities to improve operations.

  • You'll be constantly in tune with the team to achieve key performance metrics and meet service level agreements.
  • In addition, you'll carry out routine service audits to ensure that the team maintains its overall performance.
  • Also, you'll be in charge of creating stock reports, meeting minutes, and monthly management reports to the clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of property operations is essential for success in this role.
  • The ideal candidate holds a degree in business or hotel and building management, and at least three to five years experience in facilities management.
  • Additionally, you must demonstrate good working knowledge in occupational safety and aptitude in client-centric operations.
  • Solid background in team management is also necessary, with the ability to effectively roll out new initiatives and lead a team to success.
