Lead Data Engineer Role

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape our data engineering team.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with experience in designing and implementing large-scale data systems.

They will be responsible for leading the development of our data architecture, ensuring that it is scalable, efficient, and meets the needs of our business.

The successful candidate will also be expected to mentor and guide junior engineers, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level data engineering roles
  • Expertise in OLAP design and deep understanding of data warehousing concepts: star/snowflake schema, ETL/ELT processes, normalization/denormalization, and data modeling
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, including joins, window functions, and optimization techniques
  • Experience with Snowflake: warehouses, data ingestion with snow pipe, external integrations, working all types of views & tables, UDFs, procedures, streams, tasks and serverless, data masking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders
