**Job Overview:**
We are looking for a Strategic HR Technology Engineer to join our Talent Productivity Engineering team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting Workday HCM and other HR technologies.
We need an adaptable professional who can turn broad, ambiguous business questions into scalable solutions.
**Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday HCM, including functional areas like Absence, Time Tracking, Expense, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll process.
- Partner with application owners, users, and stakeholders to develop requirements for requested enhancements and configure systems to meet business needs.
- Recommend technical solutions considering priorities and tradeoffs, and drive alignment among stakeholders.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies and processes to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support technical troubleshooting and escalations with vendors and technology partners.
- Lead training and communication plans for technology-related rollouts.
- Formalize and document processes to create leverage and scale.
- Troubleshoot problems, test, and work with business to resolve issues.
- Manage projects end-to-end; build and execute detailed implementation plans, including design, build, QA/test, deploy, and support components.
- Coordinate with the testing team and business users to support testing for all cycles throughout the project, including defect tracking through resolution and securing user acceptance sign-off.
**Requirements:
- 7+ years of HR technology project implementation experience.
- 5+ years of Workday HCM functional configurations with demonstrated understanding of complex business requirements and ability to partner business leads to translating those requirements into technical and functional requirements that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Experience in configuring Core HCM, Workday Absence, Time tracking, Expense, and related processes.
- Deep understanding of business process framework, calculated fields, and configurable security.
- Understanding of Workday reporting and report writing.
- Knowledge of Workday domain and business process security.
- Knowledge of Workday EIBs, including the ability to execute complex data loads and troubleshoot independently.
- Fundamental understanding of Workday calculated fields.
- Demonstrated results in HCM business requirements documentation.
- Familiarity with HCM functional configurations, foundational data, including locations, companies, and other organizational business objects.
**Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Talent, Advance compensation, Benefits, and related process.
- Fundamental understanding of Workday Integrations.
- Fundamental understanding of Workday Extend.
- Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments and creating clarity out of ambiguity.
- Highly independent; can own and drive substantial, complex tracks of work globally.
- Strong collaborator; can engage and influence partners and stakeholders across the company in all regions.
- Strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and functional audiences.
- Experience with project management and software project deliveries.
- Workday certified professionals.
- Knowledge about other SaaS products like Avature CRM, Cornerstone Ondemand Learning platform.
