Job Title: Climate Finance Lead

About the Position:

The Head of Climate Finance will play a pivotal role in bridging financial innovation and climate ambition, leading our organization's climate finance strategy and operations. This position carries full responsibility for revenue growth, oversight of a growing team, and accountability for business development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Climate Finance Strategies: Creating frameworks aligned with global and domestic carbon markets.
  • Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS) Management: Leading end-to-end projects including identification, registration, verification, and monetization.
  • Climate Finance Structuring: Structuring instruments like green bonds, ESG-linked debt, and blended finance to mobilize capital for climate goals.
  • Risk & Advisory Services: Conducting financial and climate risk assessments; guiding clients, governments, and multilaterals on ESG frameworks and net-zero pathways.
  • Team Leadership: Building and mentoring a cross-disciplinary team of finance professionals.
  • Maket Engagement: Representing our organization in forums, policy discussions, and investor networks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8-15 years of experience in financial services, carbon markets, or sustainability consulting.
  • A strong finance industry network.
  • Deep expertise in clean development mechanisms and familiarity with standards.
  • A proven track record in financial modeling, structuring climate finance instruments, and ESG-linked products.
  • Experience in team leadership, revenue growth, business development, and project delivery.
  • Sector exposure across renewable energy, energy efficiency, nature-based solutions, carbon markets, and ESG investing.
