Exciting Opportunity: Sales Specialist – Industrial Reliability (Online Solutions)

Acoem India is seeking passionate individuals for the role of Sales Specialist – Industrial Reliability (Online Solutions). The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and effectively closing deals to meet targets.

  • Maximise sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight to the needs of clients
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales and activity quotas
  • Generate leads and commit to customer service by building relationships
  • Adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
  • Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research
  • Make cold calls or perform warm outreach, putting outside-the-box thinking to work to develop new and unique sales tactics
  • Help establish yearly action plans, yearly targets and follow up on them

Your day-to-day missions and tasks

Develop, implement, and monitor the technical and commercial strategy for online systems in the East Indian market.

  • Analyse the competitive landscape to stay informed about market trends and competitors' activities. Provide business intelligence on the market to identify major projects.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand sales effectively
  • Ensure accurate reporting of activities, update the commercial database, and provide business forecasts to the Sales Head

Provide sales assistance to the sales/distribution network (distributors/agents).

  • Expand the customer network within the designated geographical area
  • Communicate with distributors regarding new projects and opportunities
  • Negotiate direct contracts/sales

Conduct cold calls to identify potential clients

  • Gather necessary information for the establishment of new projects/contracts
  • Ensure tender publication aligns with our specifications
  • Propose commercial conditions in line with customer requirements
  • Negotiate contracts/tender submissions and follow up on payments
  • Reporting

Regularly update leads and opportunities in Salesforce.

  • Conduct monthly review meetings with the Sales Manager
  • Participate in quarterly joint review meetings with the Director of Reliability

Important: what are the essential elements to apply?

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development or sales within a B2B setting
  • Preference for experience in Selling of Online Sensors, Automation Products, Online Systems
  • Technical proficiency in Vibration is advantageous
  • Proven track record of initiating cold calls/visits to drive new business prospects
  • Capability to establish enduring, robust customer relationships
  • Solid comprehension of engineering or scientific instruments
  • Experience in the sales of technical products and services
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software
  • Track record of successfully closing enterprise-level deals
  • Aptitude for analysing business opportunities and navigating diverse situations effectively
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Familiarity with tender procedures and sales techniques

Desired qualifications, experience and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical sales, with preference given to those experienced in condition monitoring sales
  • Self-motivated individual with a knack for self-learning and proficiency in using various instruments and software. Proficient in spoken and written English, with fluency in spoken Bengali
  • Demonstrated energy, drive, and strong teamwork abilities, fostering positive relationships across all stakeholder levels. Exceptional communication, planning, and organisational skills
