A reputable organization in the Middle East and India is looking for a Senior Accountant to lead their finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project progress, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring timely billings and payments.

The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's accounting systems and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain project accounts in the accounting system
  • Maintain project-related records, including drawdown schedules, variation orders, invoices, and statements of account
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, and other financial documents as needed
  • Foster effective working relationships with external auditors and ensure prompt implementation of recommendations
  • Manage and track company funds, assets, and investments, providing periodic reports on current and projected financial stability
  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance function, including accounting and risk management
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to management, adhering to applicable financial reporting standards and statutory regulations
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills are essential.

A degree in Accounting or a related field is required, along with relevant work experience in a senior accounting role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance, as well as excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
