Regional Operations Director

Purpose of the role
The Regional Operations Head is a highly empowered role at More Retail tasked with managing the P&L in the assigned geography. The role is responsible for the revenue and bottom-line for the region assigned, by driving the annual operating plan and managing a Rs 250 Crs. per annum business. Our ideal candidate would have had extensive experience in operations and people management in retail, FMCG, logistics, or QSR industry. Strong leadership skills coupled with extensive experience in managing operations for a customer-obsessed store organization are a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability for the region by collaborating with buying, supply chain and other support functions
- Identify opportunities, assess viability, and launch new stores to drive market expansion
- Implement key projects aimed at revenue improvement, cost optimization & customer engagement
- Review financial information regularly and take corrective actions to assure and enhance profitability
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics for key KPIs to stay on course with agreed objectives
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress on key deliverables
- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives, promote Kaizen and implement actions for continuous improvements
- Drive a customer-obsessed culture at all levels by ensuring SLA adherence. Proactively promote collaboration within the cross-functional teams to solve customer problems
- Direct a large workforce in the region by ensuring regular team and functional reviews, feedback, and action planning
- Ensure that the stores run with legality and conformity to established statutory regulations and Standard operating procedures
- Manage people performance by applying policies and procedures; ensuring regular feedback and corrective actions
- Build a highly competent team by identifying capability gaps and taking timely actions for improvement or replacement
- Ensure local liaisoning with stakeholders to ensure a smooth store/s operational functioning
Requirements
- Post-graduation or equivalent qualification.
- Must have 12-15 years P&L responsibility with progressive growth in revenue and bottom-line
- Should have managed revenue responsibility of at least Rs. 200 Cr pa
- Managed a fairly large team in a distributed network setup
