IT Governance Manager Role

The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain a robust IT governance framework that aligns with industry-leading standards.

This involves developing and managing IT governance frameworks and operations in accordance with COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 20000 standards to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across IT functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective IT governance frameworks and operations in line with industry standards.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor IT policies, procedures, and controls to maintain operational efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee policy development, compliance tracking, and IT service management continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate IT risk assessments, audit readiness activities, and regulatory reporting to minimize risks and optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, and regulators to support organizational goals and ensure alignment with governance best practices.
  • Manage the IT governance calendar, including governance forums, meetings, and action tracking to ensure timely decision-making.
  • Provide expert guidance on governance best practices, control mechanisms, and compliance frameworks to drive business growth.
  • Prepare comprehensive governance documentation, dashboards, and reports for senior management, risk committees, and audit boards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Governance, ITSM, Compliance, or Risk Management roles.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 20000 frameworks.
  • Proven track record of policy development, audit readiness, and governance program execution.
  • Excellent understanding of IT risk management, regulatory compliance, and audit processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as COBIT, ITIL Expert, ISO 20000, CISA, or CGEIT are highly desirable.
