Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business applications. This includes monitoring and responding to system alerts, incidents, and user-reported issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine their root causes, then troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications, databases, and integrations.
  • Coordinate with development teams to implement fixes and enhancements, providing timely updates to stakeholders on the status of ongoing incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and changes in the production environment, creating and updating support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in supporting business applications, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and ITIL processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Unix/Linux environments, experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, and knowledge of programming languages including Shell and Python.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users, and a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
