
Operational Region Manager

This role oversees the operational activities of a region, managing a team to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining project scope and key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members
- Communicating with senior management to develop strategic plans and project goals
- Direct reporting to Regional Head on day-to-day activities, incident management, etc.
- Monitoring and reporting key project activities, plans, and progress
In addition, this role involves:
- Managing calls and discussions
- End-to-end exam day and non-exam day administrative activities management and team coordination
- Ensuring zero incidents on exam days related to administrative services
- Supporting recruitment, training, and talent development of team members
- Defining and deploying control and monitoring mechanisms for the administrative team within the region
- Training and developing the administrative team within the region
- Ensuring standardized processes at all exam venues
- Regional vendor management, supporting Regional Head in finalizing contracts and vendor invoices
- Publishing regular dashboards on key performance parameters to Regional Head and senior management as needed
- Being the central point of contact for all facility-related matters at the regional level
- Ensuring Service Level Agreements/Service Level Commitments at exam venues
- Governing partners, conducting regular meetings, and closing audit points
- Contract management
- Assisting in shortlisting prospective partners or venues identified by city heads based on defined parameters within the region
- Maintaining and monitoring legal compliance for all venues
- Preparing and deploying contingency/BCP plans
- Conducting surprise checks at exam venues
- Handling crisis situations
- Coordinating and managing manpower agencies
- Conducting audits of exam venues
- Performing any other duties assigned from time to time
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment
- Experience in soft services facility management
- Experience in facility operations and management
- Able to manage a team
- Experience in conflict management
- Will to work under extreme pressure
- Willingness to travel
- Good liaisoning with authorities and local government departments
- Awareness of laws related to facility compliance and operations
- Vendor management skills
- Openness to taking complete ownership, responsibility, and accountability of assigned work
- Good computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desirable qualities include:
- Professional certifications
- Additional language knowledge
- Strong analytical and logical understanding
