Sr Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced production professional to lead our end-to-end operations. This key role will oversee seamless execution, cost efficiency, and quality delivery in a dynamic FMCG environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversight of production processes across all units.
    • Daily/weekly reviews with internal teams and co-manufacturing partners to monitor progress and drive accountability.
    • Ensure on-time dispatch of finished goods aligned to demand plans and customer requirements.
  • Planning & Coordination:
    • Leading weekly/monthly production planning aligned to sales forecasts and capacity availability.
    • Collaboration with procurement for RM/PM availability and capacity scheduling.
    • Representing production in EOS/L10 meetings to align goals and report operational performance.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards across all production units.
    • Conducting monthly cycle counts for inventory at co-manufacturers; reviewing and validating monthly stock reports.
    • Driving RCA and CAPA for process deviations and implementing preventive controls.
    • Ensuring complete documentation of production batches, checklists, and reporting formats as per regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Packaging & Artwork Coordination:
    • Collaborating with design, marketing, and procurement teams to review and finalize packaging artworks from a manufacturability and compliance perspective.
  • Process Excellence & Strategic Initiatives:
    • Driving continuous improvement in production processes, line efficiency, changeover time, wastages, and material yields.
    • Supporting strategic initiatives like capacity expansion, SKU rationalization, or alternate vendor onboarding.
    • Implementing best practices to scale operations with agility while maintaining cost and quality benchmarks.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Acting as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders and external co-man partners on all production, compliance, and accounting matters.
    • Facilitating proactive communication to ensure alignment between demand, production, supply chain, and procurement teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong domain knowledge of FMCG food production and conversion cost models.
  • Proven experience in production planning, shop floor execution, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with food safety, quality audits, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, scale complexity, and deliver under pressure.
