Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our Mainframe and Legacy Modernization practice, driving growth through innovative solutions and exceptional client relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technology, domain, and industry, as well as strong leadership capabilities to manage a large portfolio and team of professionals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Practice Strategy: Develop and maintain a differentiated portfolio of offerings, drive practice growth by building contextualized value propositions for clients, shape the delivery engine, and build capability and talent readiness to deploy solutions.
  • Solution Development: Collaborate with other practices to develop winning solutions, build a strong pool of technologists and architects to bring thought leadership to solution development and implementation, determine right solution choices to ensure successful delivery.
  • Delivery Management: Institutionalize the capabilities of Nex-Gen Solutions, including AI, mobilize certification and learning programs aligned with industry standards, review and finalize account/project delivery structures by evaluating budget, costs, risks, and staffing requirements.
  • Client Relationship Management: Drive high client satisfaction by creating strong value propositions, share Wipro's capabilities and initiatives to support and fulfill client needs, partner with clients to drive transformation and adapt to new delivery models.
Innovation and Modernization
  • Lead the evolution of the mainframe practice into hybrid/cloud and DevOps models, evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies such as DevOps for mainframe, COBOL modernization, AI/ML for operations, enable cross-platform integration using modern tools and accelerators.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep technical knowledge in cloud-native modernization tools, current and upcoming technologies to build efficiencies and effectiveness, specialized understanding of the practice domain, market, and competition, ability to bring knowledge of core trends and future perspectives to develop new solutions.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, identify areas of opportunities, build partnerships, proven experience in client relationship management and business development, demonstrated leadership and management of large teams, excellent communication skills and executive presence.
