Business Development Director for Corporate Markets

At GLG, we are seeking a skilled Business Development Director to accelerate sales and expand our user base in corporate markets across India & South Asia.

The ideal candidate will focus on identifying, qualifying, and closing new revenue opportunities while negotiating contract renewals and optimizing client experience. Key performance metrics include expanding penetration of existing clients, monetization of work, and adoption of new products and systems across existing and new accounts.

We are looking for a results-driven professional with 3-5 years of experience in business development, who can articulate the value of primary research and GLG's proposition to large audiences. The successful candidate will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, teamwork, professionalism, communication, organization, and client service skills, aligning with GLG's core values of courage, integrity, curiosity, and judgement.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage professional network to build new relationships at operating companies
  • Negotiate enterprise level deals for existing clients and new business
  • Develop new relationships and grow existing business relationships with senior industry leaders
  • Identify growth opportunities, build & execute acquisition targets, plans, and realize objectives
  • Set strategic and operational roadmap for overall book of business and at the account level
  • Collaborate with servicing team to implement adjustments in servicing model when necessary

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to make consultative enterprise-level sales to corporate clients
  • Proficiency in articulating the value of primary research and GLG's proposition
  • Impeccable attention to detail, ideally in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • Clear track record of excellence in several categories, including teamwork, professionalism, communication, organization, and client service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an individual contributor in business development function

Estimated Salary: ₹20 Lakhs - ₹40 Lakhs per annum
