Database Support Lead

As a Database Support Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing database operations and driving strategic direction. You will monitor database execution, schedule batch jobs, configure and maintain systems, and act as the primary contact for user inquiries and troubleshooting.

  • Develop and implement operational processes to streamline support operations and enhance user satisfaction.
  • Log, prioritize, and collaborate with product teams on resolving bugs and complex technical issues.
  • Monitor critical issues, escalate as needed, and provide workarounds for unsupported functionality.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Creating, modifying, and troubleshooting SQL Server integration tools and stored procedures with an eye on performance.
  • Converting, manipulating, and preparing large volumes of data for ingestion into our systems using data transformation tools.
  • Creating, modifying, and troubleshooting reporting queries in SQL Server 2019.
  • Maintaining and supporting data ingestion tools and automation scripts.
  • Managing and resolving data-related issues reported by customers and internal employees.
  • Conducting quality and business logic checks on all data into and out of systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in database and application development and support.
  • Proven SQL language experience with highly performing SQL.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting database packages.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Sisense and SSRS.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
