Job Summary:

A strategic Data Management Specialist is needed to create and implement cutting-edge database solutions for the healthcare industry.

This role will ensure that business operations are well-coordinated and productive by managing processes and coaching team members.

We are looking for a skilled individual who can participate in daily operations, optimize database performance, collaborate with management, and recommend solutions for improvement.

  • Participate in daily operations to support business growth.
  • Optimize database (SQL calls) for maximum performance.
  • Collaborate with management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Work with technology teams to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Experience with SQL and stored routines is essential.
  • Experience working with HA Proxy, ProxySQL or MaxScale is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based database technologies like AWS Aurora, RDS.
  • Maintain relationships with technology teams, external partners, and vendors to provide input on operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics for day-to-day performance of operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate and correct data and database issues.

Key Requirements:

  • 4 years of MySQL management experience.
  • Experience in configuring HA and clustering solutions.
  • Large-scale MySQL deployments.
  • MySQL sharding architecture and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a Linux/Unix based OS environment.
  • MS SQL experience is a plus.
  • Software as a service industry experience is a plus.
  • Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and anticipate customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, set, and implement priorities and manage multiple tasks.
