Principal Database Specialist

We are seeking an expert with extensive experience in database administration and management.
- Main Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of MongoDB architecture and internals.
- 8-12 years of experience in MongoDB database administration with strong knowledge in MongoDB backup/restore mechanisms, database patching/upgrades, replicaset, and sharding.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL database administration, including architecture, HA, and clustering.
- Knowledge in PostgreSQL monitoring tools and backup/restore mechanisms.
- Expertise in MySQL database administration and MySQL monitoring tools along with MySQL backup/restore mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Cassandra database administration, architecture, and HA and clustering.
- Knowledge in Cassandra backup/restore mechanisms.
- Familiarity with database auditing, logging, and security practices, Performance Tuning, and Diagnostics.
- Knowledge in Database migration and Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Agile working practices and modern automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
- Knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python) and database and SQL performance monitoring/tuning.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong willingness to learn.
