Job Opportunity: Systems Engineer

Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled Systems Engineer to create and maintain high-performance and available systems in UNIX development, non-production, and production environments.

  • Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of server solutions for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement automation tools using scripting and application development techniques.
  • Investigate new technologies and tools as needed to improve system functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers, operations staff, and release engineers to ensure smooth system operation.
  • Educate and mentor team members on system maintenance and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience with Linux Operating System (RedHat variants preferred)
  • Solid experience coding with Perl, Ruby, Bourne, Python, Java, API's, and other programming languages
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible or equivalent tools
  • Familiarity with git, foreman, Jenkins, and other project management tools
  • Demonstrable knowledge of multi-tiered, highly available, and resilient application design
