About the Role:

The primary responsibility of a senior culinary professional is to optimize kitchen operations through continuous quality and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain set standards and monitor time management effectively.
  • Provide ongoing training and ensure that corporate objectives are followed.
  • Ensure safe, high-quality food products and complete guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and comply with organizational systems, procedures, rules, and objectives.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to improve service and product quality.
  • Acknowledge and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Support team members to boost morale and personal esteem.
  • Ensure fair treatment and a positive atmosphere among crew members.
  • Adhere to menus, recipes, and operational specifics provided by the organization.
  • Seek direction from others when necessary.
  • Achieve goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily food tastings and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor and assist Section Heads with electronic food requisitions and daily service line operations.
  • Maintain compliance with public health regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality hotels and restaurants.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a management role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English communication.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions effectively.
  • Good administrative skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in coaching subordinates and being flexible with work hours.
  • Cost and quality consciousness.
  • International team collaboration and assigned duties under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cruise Ship Experience or 5-star Hotel background.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
