Senior Operations Manager

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence in the production line. This individual will lead and manage the end-to-end production process, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory norms.

This role requires a strong leader who can develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

  • Production Planning & Execution of Bus structures
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
  • Monitor KPIs such as JPH (Jobs Per Hour), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and downtime
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to dimensional accuracy, fit & finish, and welding standards
  • Collaborate with QA teams to resolve line-level quality issues
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects
  • Process Improvement: Lead Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Reduce non-value-added activities and improve line balancing
  • Implement automation and ergonomic improvements
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor production supervisors and line staff
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering is required, along with 15-20 years of experience in automotive production. Domain expertise in Bus/Coach Body Building, BIW, Assembly, and EV is essential. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and ISO/TS are also preferred.
