Chief Digital Transformation Officer

The Chief Digital Transformation Officer is a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation agenda across VW Group Digital Solutions entities. This leader will orchestrate the delivery of both custom-built and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) IT solutions, establishing a robust data lake infrastructure and embedding AI-enabled applications.

  • Anchor the execution of a 3-year digital transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
  • Drive enterprise data initiatives, including the development and scaling of data lake infrastructure.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to anchor digitalization and tooling strategies from pilot phases to full-scale development and support.
  • Establish and lead the implementation of success metrics for Digitalization projects, reporting insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee technology initiatives, delivering COTS and custom IT solutions, and champion design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Drive the strategic adoption of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms and custom-built tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Embed AI-enabled applications across business functions to enhance decision-making and automation.
  • Develop and maintain a robust data lake infrastructure to support enterprise-wide analytics.
  • Anchor software engineering practices and enable delivery of Product MVPs in collaboration with Digital Delivery departments.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the success of innovation projects and report findings to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Strategic leadership skills with experience in driving digital transformation agendas.
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as data lake infrastructure and AI-enabled applications.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing technology initiatives and delivering COTS and custom IT solutions.
  • Knowledge of design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to establish and lead the implementation of success metrics for Digitalization projects.
