Job Description

A key role within our organization, the Direct Fulfillment Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire Pick, Pack, and Ship (PPS) process. This includes managing daily operations with external partners, driving continuous improvement strategies to increase process efficiency and performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal planning and logistics teams and external partners to ensure seamless operation of the PPS process. They will also collaborate with customer support teams to address any shipment-related issues, and with global teams during weekly and bi-weekly meetings to discuss operational performance and KPIs.

  • Manage End-to-End PPS Operation: Oversee the entire Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) process, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations with external partners.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Partner with the team to implement continuous improvement strategies to increase process efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor Partner Performance: Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) weekly and quarterly. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to evaluate progress and resolve any performance issues.
  • Packaging & Inventory Management: Ensure external partners have the right packaging materials and inventory levels to fulfill shipment orders. Regularly assess and manage inventory accuracy and work with the team to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Repackaging Advice & Support: Provide guidance to external partners for any repackaging activities to ensure that all shipments meet company standards.
  • Act as Escalation Point: Serve as the primary escalation point for any operational issues at the local site.
  • Customer/Partner Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any shipment-related issues, ensuring that customers and partners are satisfied with the service.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work with internal planning and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely shipment delivery.
  • ECO & QAN Compliance: Ensure external partners promptly execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Quality Alert Notifications (QANs) as required.
  • Surge Capacity Management: Ensure external partners are capable of handling surge capacity, especially during peak demand periods.
  • Cycle Count & Inventory Accuracy: Perform onsite quarterly cycle counts and resolve any inventory discrepancies with external partners.
