Database Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of expertise in database design, optimization, and management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable database architectures (SQL & NoSQL), optimizing database queries, indexing, and performance tuning, ensuring data security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery.

This role will involve collaborating closely with AI engineers on vector databases and RAG pipelines, integrating databases with APIs, CRMs, and external systems, monitoring database health, troubleshooting issues, and improving reliability.

  • Design and Develop: Scalable database architectures (SQL & NoSQL) using strong proficiency with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.) and experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Optimize and Maintain: Database queries, indexing, and performance tuning, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate and Integrate: With AI engineers on vector databases and RAG pipelines, and integrate databases with APIs, CRMs, and external systems.

Required skills and experience include strong proficiency with SQL databases, experience with NoSQL databases, knowledge of vector databases, expertise in database optimization, solid understanding of ETL processes, and experience with cloud database services.

Nice-to-have skills include experience with data warehouses, knowledge of streaming data systems, hands-on experience with AI/ML data pipelines, and exposure to DevOps for databases.
