Job Title:

Strategic Projects Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive the planning, execution, and lifecycle management of Renewable Energy projects. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with deep technical knowledge in the clean energy domain, who can drive strategic growth, ensure operational excellence, and deliver high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of renewable energy and BESS projects from concept to handover and O&M.
    • Lead large cross-functional project teams across EPC, C&I, Developer, and O&M models.
    • Align project execution with corporate vision and sustainability goals.
    • Evaluate technology options, project partnerships, and business models for optimal impact.
  • Project Execution & Delivery:
    • Manage multiple project portfolios with a focus on timely delivery, quality control, and cost optimization.
    • Lead tendering, contracting, vendor evaluation, and engineering functions.
    • Implement robust project monitoring systems (dashboards, KPIs, risk tracking).
    • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, compliance for all project stages.
  • Operations & Maintenance:
    • Establish efficient O&M frameworks for long-term performance and asset lifecycle management of deployed renewable and BESS assets.
    • Ensure customer SLAs, uptime commitments, and remote monitoring standards are met.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including clients, partners, vendors, EPC contractors, DISCOMs, regulators, and land authorities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with state nodal agencies, DISCOMs, and central renewable bodies.
  • Team Building & Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor project, engineering, and O&M teams across locations.
    • Foster a high-performance culture focused on ownership, accountability, and results.
  • Business Development Support:
    • Collaborate with BD, Commercial, and Finance teams to assess new opportunities and structure viable project proposals.
    • Provide techno-commercial input for bids, investor presentations, and JV structuring.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 18–25 years with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles in the Renewable Energy / BESS / EPC domain.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end solar (utility-scale/C&I), wind, hybrid, or BESS projects.
  • Experience across multiple delivery models – EPC, IPP/Developer model, and O&M.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling CAPEX-intensive projects and large field operations.
