Job Title: Director of Business Development for API Sales

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Business Development for API Sales to lead our commercial efforts across India. As a Regional Head, you will be responsible for maximizing market opportunities and managing business operations to achieve sales and market share goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Strategy: Contribute to the development of a comprehensive BD strategy for Global Accounts growth objectives, determine strategies for selected accounts, and build wallet share of business for Biocon API in India.
  • Sales and Account Management: Lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses, grow share of business, expand relationships with customers, and deploy consultative selling approaches to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide market research, market intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to support future export strategies.

Requirements:
This role requires at least 15-20 years of relevant industry experience in API Sales and BD, preferably with a focus on the India market. You must have high energy, a positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with incomplete information. Strong leadership qualities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strategic thinking are also essential.
