Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned business development professional to spearhead our research and advisory services in the chemicals and materials domain.

This key role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth through innovative solutions.

You will lead a team of experts in delivering high-quality research reports, proposals, and presentations that meet or exceed client expectations.

In addition to your technical expertise, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • To achieve defined revenue and cost goals by developing and implementing strategic business plans.
  • To build/write proposals with minimum support from senior team members, including gathering requirements during client briefing, formulation of winning research solutions for client's business problems, designing commercial framework, effective presentation of solution and offer, etc.
  • To actively participate in tasks related to business development with the support from senior colleagues; participate and support marketing outreach programs; initiate and support in developing industry/capability decks, white papers, thought papers, articles, case studies, etc. to support business development.
  • To lead building/developing/training/mentoring a team of senior analysts, analysts, and associates specialized in offering techno-commercial research & advisory services in chemicals & materials domain.
  • To handle all client communication, including client query with respect to a specific study - kick off calls, deliverable presentation, feedback calls, etc.
  • To articulate and facilitate technical, business, and analytical discussions.
  • To generate insights and actionable recommendations for the client.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's and/or master's degree in chemical & material or related fields, or equivalent experience.

Minimum six years of experience in business research or consulting type of engagements.

A deep level of primary research experience firsthand and ability to train team members and improve their primary research skills.

Rich experience in end-to-end management of business research or consulting engagements.

Past and current experience in handling team of qualified professionals.

Excellent knowledge of Market Analysis, Business Analysis, Technology Analysis, Competitor Intelligence, Management Frameworks, Advanced MS Office, Forecasting, and Business Writing.

Ability to work with all levels of management in an effective, proactive manner.
