Job Position
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to work in our Girls Education program. The role involves understanding and implementing activities based on inputs from national and state teams. Key responsibilities include developing a thorough understanding of the program design, conducting life skills sessions, and ensuring quality program implementation at the field level.

- Develop a deep understanding of the complete content package for thematic areas and Life Skills Curriculum to be rolled out in selected schools.

- Work closely with state offices and program officers to plan and implement programs.

- Provide corrective actions and incorporate feedback as provided by supervisors.

- Participate in monthly review meetings, quarterly meetings, and trainings organized by GEP national and state office teams.


Program Facilitation and Capacity Building:

- Contribute to capacity building of facilitators on program content, providing necessary support in planning, execution, and facilitation.

- Co-facilitate life skill session curriculum in capacity building sessions of facilitators.

- Demonstrate and support teachers in life skill sessions, parents meetings, and other program activities during implementation.

- Support school teachers in scheduling program activities with girls, observing sessions, and providing handholding support.

- Set a schedule of visits to schools as per benchmarking indicators in the design.


Quality Program Implementation:

- Observe life skills sessions and other program activities as per design and benchmarking indicators.

- Engage in regular handholding and coaching of teachers for qualitative program implementation.

- Ensure school teachers keep program records as decided in the program design.

- Identify factors that may impede quality and fidelity of life skills at the field level.

- Support tracking of quality standards being met and provide updates to PA/PO.

- Use life skill observation forms along with PA/PO and provide feedback to teachers.

- Support administration of teacher's training assessment tool for all trainings.

- Facilitate or participate in monthly/quarterly meetings of school teachers to discuss challenges and identify solutions in program implementation.

- Conduct discussions on program quality with school teachers during meetings.

- Ensure feedback is given to specific schools and recorded.

- Support dissemination of LS journals at the school level.


Liaison and Networking:

- Support planning and organizing trainings and meetings for government officials with SCERT, Gender Cell, District Officials, Block level/Cluster level etc about the program and its updates, upcoming plans.

- Maintain effective liaison with program school administration for smooth operations of the program design.

- Support state PO/PA in building linkages with like-minded organizations.

- Support PO/PA in creating visibility of the program.

- Participate and support in learning events at the state level.


Reporting and Documentation:

- Fill record and monitoring forms and trackers, consolidating and reporting to state office.

- Support documentation of best practices, case studies, photos, and lessons learned and share with the GEP team.

- Maintain general book-keeping of attendance in program activities at school.

- Record qualitative reflections of sessions.


Community Engagement:

- Lead community campaigns in schools as per design and ensure stakeholder involvement.

- Support planning and monitoring of parents meetings (conduct parents meeting if needed in specific design situations).

- Support PA/PO in facilitating donor, country office, GO team members visit.

- Ensure sustainability and scalability of the program.

- Conduct initial home visits of participants if design requires.


Requirements:

- Required:

- Bachelor's degree in education/social sciences or equivalent/environmental sciences or higher.

- Minimum 3-4 years of experience (1-2 years of relevant experience in education/development sector including internships).

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English/Hindi and local language of the state where position is based.

- Preferred:

- Experience working on life skills/gender/adolescents.

- Proven experience working with school administration and travel to field sites.

- Ability to work effectively with school teachers and government officials.

- Strong field planning and project implementation skills.
