Job Role Overview:

Magic Bus India Foundation is a leading NGO in education and skilling in India.

The organization has established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years.

The Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12-18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN).

The Livelihood Programme prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills.

This role will oversee Magic Bus resources, staff, and local partners to ensure the full offer of the Livelihood program is available to youth in the district.

Key responsibilities include managing a team, achieving targets, providing career guidance, and ensuring each new starter receives a structured induction programme.

  • Manage staff, centres, and local partners
  • Lead a team delivering the Livelihood programme at district level
  • Achieve targets in mobilisation, needs assessment, skills training delivery and placement
  • Support frontline staff to complete comprehensive needs assessments
  • Formulate personal development plans for each youth
  • Provide high-quality career guidance
  • Ensure structured induction programmes for new starters
  • Oversee community need assessments and mapping exercises
  • Support the implementation of updates to the Livelihood programme
  • Work with employers to ensure adequate placement opportunities exist
  • Broker partnerships with other skills training providers
