Finance Operations Manager Role:

We are looking for a meticulous and systems-driven professional who can manage financial operations from start to finish while ensuring accuracy and transparency of data across shipments, profitability, and actuals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in managing information systems (MIS), accounting, and financial data governance to provide real-time insights for decision-making. This role demands leadership with a focus on safeguarding the company's profitability reporting by ensuring correct data flow, preventing manipulation, and strengthening compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and optimization of cash flow management and working capital utilization.
  • Monitoring shipments, revenue recognition, and cost allocations to ensure accurate profitability tracking.
  • Ensuring all actuals are correctly recorded in the books of accounts, aligning with business and statutory requirements.
  • Safeguarding against data manipulation by implementing strong internal controls and audit mechanisms.

MIS & Profitability Analysis:

  • Development, maintenance, and presentation of robust MIS dashboards and reports on shipments, collections, profitability, and cost structures.
  • Driving profitability analysis at shipment, vertical, and entity level, highlighting key variances vs budgets/forecasts.
  • Providing actionable insights to leadership on margin improvement, shipment performance, and cost efficiencies.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting across all MIS functions.

Accounting & Compliance:

  • Implementation of hardcore accounting discipline across invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and internal reporting standards.
  • Collaboration with auditors and internal teams for transparent, manipulation-free reporting.
  • Partnership with sales, operations, and tech teams to ensure visibility of shipments, receivables, and obligations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Management Accountant (CMA) / Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience.

- Proven experience in finance operations, MIS, and profitability tracking, preferably in logistics/supply chain-intensive industries.

- Strong background in MIS and accounting with expertise in financial data analysis and reporting.

- Advanced skills in Excel, data modeling, ERP systems, and MIS dashboards.

- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to prevent and detect data manipulation.

- Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional engagement.
