About this role:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Taxation Manager to oversee all accounting, compliance, and tax-related functions.

The ideal candidate will bring 9+ years of experience in taxation, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership skills.

This role involves direct client engagement, advisory responsibilities, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and tax returns for clients.
  • Manage complex tax matters such as GST, CGT, FBT, and Division 7A compliance.
  • Deliver business advisory services, including management accounting, board reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and succession planning.
  • Identify tax issues and opportunities, provide actionable strategies, and ensure continuous improvement year-on-year.
  • Mentor junior accountants to deliver accurate and compliant outcomes.
  • Oversee assignments independently and ensure high-level review for accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory).
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CMA (highly desirable).
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in taxation and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with GST, CGT, FBT, and business compliance matters.
  • Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, tax return filing, and management reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
