Job Overview:

The role of National Account Manager is to drive sales growth and market expansion across India for a leading company in the distribution of scientific instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets for the company's product portfolio.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team across key regions: North, East, West, and South India.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key customers in the biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, pharma, and research sectors.
  • Drive sales of scientific instruments, ensuring penetration in private biopharma, academic institutions, and research labs.
  • Establish and expand relationships with distributors and channel partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to refine sales strategies.
  • Work closely with marketing, application support, and service teams to enhance customer experience and brand visibility.
  • Ensure effective pipeline management to achieve a strong sales funnel.
  • Lead sales forecasting, reporting, and budgeting activities.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the life sciences, biotechnology, or scientific equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling national sales operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in handling high-value capital equipment sales.
  • Deep understanding of the Indian biopharma, research, and diagnostic market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
