Strategic HR Leader

The position spearheads the human resources function for Quality & Operations functions at a manufacturing site in Thane. The role provides strategic HR business partnership to the site leadership team, developing and implementing human resources strategy and policy in support of business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement employee relations and human resource programs and practices, partnering with the business to understand needs and align people strategy accordingly.
  • Acquire talented workforce within time-frames to ensure business continuity, identifying manpower requirements based on business priorities and planning budgets accordingly.
  • Assist in budgeting process of all HR items (manpower costs, operational expenses) and headcount requirement, reviewing actual spend against approved budgets and identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Drive continual performance management and annual compensation reviews, training line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback.
  • Implement periodic talent management reviews, creating and executing succession plans for critical roles and understanding talent priorities of the site.
  • Promote a culture of learning and high performance, identifying training needs and preparing training calendars for evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory laws, maintaining records and representing the organization at various associations related to human resources.
  • Maintain harmonious and productive industrial relations, tracking productivity and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement initiatives to impact key drivers of employee engagement and lead wellbeing initiatives to achieve holistic wellbeing of employees.
  • Supervise and review all HR operations pertaining to the employee lifecycle to streamline processes and bring efficiency.

Educational Qualifications: MBA HR or Masters in Human Resource Management

Experience: 15+ years' experience handling HR functions, with a preference for experience in manufacturing set-ups.

Knowledge and Skills: HR operations, industrial relations, labour legislations, business acumen, management skills, analytical ability, and stakeholder management.
