Job Overview

The Sous Chef plays a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen operation. This involves continuously analyzing quality and cost of food production to ensure seamless service delivery.

As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining set standards and monitoring time management effectively.
  • Providing ongoing training to ensure corporate objectives are met.
  • Ensuring safe, quality food products that meet guest expectations.
  • Developing and adhering to systems, procedures, rules, and objectives set by the organization.
  • Improving service and product quality within a technical area of expertise.
  • Achieving set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Conducting daily food tastings and addressing discrepancies immediately.
  • Monitoring electronic food requisitions and supporting Section Heads as needed.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions.
  • Good administrative skills and coaching ability.
Preferred Skills

We welcome candidates with:

  • Cruise Ship Experience or 5-star Hotel background.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
