Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Collections Manager.
Job Summary:This position is responsible for overseeing the credit and collections process, ensuring timely payments from customers, and managing day-to-day operations.
- Manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and assign cases to external collection agencies as needed.
- Monitor company bank accounts daily to review payment activity and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Evaluate customer accounts, establish payment plans, maintain proper follow-up, monitor credit limits, and respond to invoice inquiries.
- Prepare various reports and analytics, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual collections data.
- Perform credit checks to extend credit to new customers.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing financial data to close books and prepare cash-related journal entries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Following all required safety procedures to protect employees' health and safety.
- Assisting with housekeeping in the finance area.
- Other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- A thorough understanding of organizational collection policies.
- Strong analytical skills to research accounts.
- Experience in collections monitoring and report development.
- Proficiency in computer software, especially Windows, Excel, and Word.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A degree in accounting preferred.
- 5-10 years of accounting experience.
