Cost Controller Job Description

The Cost Controller will oversee the production process from product costing to profitability analysis. This includes creating accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), overhead allocation, and cost structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Monitor Product Costing, margin analysis, and profitability reports across product lines.
  • Create and Maintain Accurate BOM, Overhead Allocation, and Cost Structures.
  • Support Pricing Strategy and ensure profitable product positioning.
  • Conduct Variance Analysis (budget vs. actual) and recommend cost optimization measures.
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain to control costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor Profitability Performance SKU-wise, region-wise, and customer-wise.
  • Provide Data-Driven Insights to sales and marketing teams for decision-making.
  • Support New Product Launches with cost simulation and profitability projections.
  • Ensure Compliance with accounting standards, audits, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 Years of Experience in Product Controlling / Costing / Business Finance in sanitaryware, faucets, FMCG, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong Knowledge of Cost Accounting, pricing models, and financial controlling.
  • Proven Analytical Skills and ability to present actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MIS reporting.
  • Strong Coordination Skills across sales, marketing, supply chain, and production teams.
