Job Summary
The Public Relations Consultant will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, media, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a self-starting attitude, think like a leader, and be able to contribute to the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise daily with clients and media via telephone and email.
- Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients, media, and marketing teams.
- Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis.
- Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Monitor media including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, social media, podcasts, blogs, and newswires.
- Collate, analyse, and evaluate media coverage.
- Track opportunities in newspapers, magazines, and websites.
- Plan publicity strategies and campaigns.
- Strategize, enable execution, and create quarterly roadmaps.
- Prepare briefs, scripts, campaign taglines, and responses for interviews.
- Write and disseminate press releases, articles, and features to targeted media.
- Promote news stories and features to key stakeholders.
- Write and produce presentations, reports, and promotional materials.
- Document all campaigns, testimonials, and coverage.
- Design and manage promotional materials when budgets are allocated.
- Organize and manage events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours, and visits.
- Attend and promote client events to media and industry platforms.
- Coordinate photography and videography at events.
- Speak publicly at conferences, presentations, and other industry events.
- Develop and foster relationships with brands and third parties on behalf of the organization.
- Develop quarterly and annual roadmaps in line with business goals.
- Leverage partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising opportunities.
- Liaise with marketing teams to create cross-channel strategies.
- Build relationships with industry leaders to grow awareness and influence.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and influencer activities.
- Conduct trend forecasting for clients and their industries.
- Commission and undertake market research studies.
- Research new business proposals and present findings to potential clients.
- Analyse industry trends affecting clients and recommend communication strategies.
- Motivate the team and encourage a positive work environment.
- Maintain a network of resources to deploy when needed.
- Ensure proper documentation across all initiatives.
