Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data QA Specialist to join our team. As a Data QA Specialist, you will be responsible for managing large portions of data cleaning and quality assurance processes for new products.

The role involves manually reviewing datasets of raw financial transaction spend data and helping transform it into business expense insights. You will verify and correct financial transaction data based on U.S. accounting rules, primarily using tabular data in proprietary software.

This is a fully remote role with some overlap with U.S. work hours expected, with greater flexibility during training and onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update raw financial transaction spend data and invoices
  • Verify and correct financial transaction data following U.S. accounting rules, including thoroughly reviewing expense trends, deduplicating transactions, adjusting amortization dates, inferring amortization dates, verifying vendors, and documenting repeated data issues
  • Document data issues and work with other teams to improve data quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate closely with our Data Product team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst
  • At least 1 year of full-time work experience as an A/P bookkeeper, junior accountant, Accounts Payables (A/P) clerk, or in a similar position using U.S. accounting practices
  • Experience with Netsuite, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero (or similar ERP software)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, experience working with large datasets, managing multiple processes, and excellent communication skills
