Role Overview

Visteon Corporation is seeking a skilled Hardware Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the in-depth technical design review of Cluster, Display, and IVI products to meet functional requirements, validation requirements, and Visteon standard design requirements within given cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review HW design for IVI and Cluster products to meet functional requirements, achieve validation requirements, and follow Visteon design guidelines.
  • Bring innovation in design approach to achieve tight cost and quality targets.
  • Review and approve design at each quality check gate during hardware development and ensure the product is built with intended cost and quality.
  • Work closely with engineering team to ensure resolution of inter-competency issues in benefit of program timeline and compliance to requirements and quality.
  • Drive continuous skill upgrade among hardware engineers by visualizing upcoming technical challenges, provide technical guidance to design team.
  • Review field issue analysis and guide team to resolve field issues.
  • Guide and review hardware quote responses to PD Quote Leader.
  • Interact with teams in different regions and achieve consensus to ensure productive outcomes.

Desired Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of embedded electronics products, strong capability in component-level design and interface verification, and ability to carry out detailed design reviews.
  • Well-experienced on multi-core processors and SoCs regarding features and interfacing details.
  • High-speed interfaces like DDR4, NOR Flash, eMMCs, Ethernet, etc.
  • Ability to identify design risks upfront and provide resolutions.
  • Well-versed on design practices to achieve demanding cost and reliability targets.
  • Well-experienced on HW design trends for Mobility, Connectivity, Display, Driver Information.
  • Understanding of EMC requirements and ability to build a reliable product for the automotive domain.
  • Appreciation for DFM, DFT, DFMEA, Built-in-quality.
  • Ability to guide the team for delivering successful product development with optimized resource utilization.

Leadership Skills

  • Decisive action-oriented and high personal accountability, taking full responsibility for technical decisions and results.
  • Practice collaborative approach and coach team members to improve their technical capability.
  • Share knowledge and promote interest for learning with team members.

Experience

15-18 years of experience in an embedded product development and team management. Automotive engineering experience is an advantage.
