Business Loan Collection Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Loan Collection Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive collection strategies for business loans, leading a team of collection officers, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive collection strategies for business loans to achieve recovery targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collection officers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee daily collection activities, including portfolio allocation, call management, and field visits.
  • Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and company policies.
  • Analyze collection data and metrics to identify trends, forecast potential delinquencies, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with legal, credit, and sales teams to resolve complex collection cases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to negotiate effective repayment plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire a team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to handle difficult conversations with debtors and internal stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of the business loan collection process, regulatory guidelines, and legal frameworks specific to the NBFC sector.
  • Proficient in using collection management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in business loan collections, with a significant portion of that time in a managerial or leadership role within an NBFC.
