The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business expansion and growth within their designated area. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, this individual is responsible for managing a network of sales managers and ensuring the achievement of top-line and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales managers to achieve sales targets across various products and channels.
  • Conduct regular sales team meetings to set targets, provide guidance, and ensure tight control over the sales process.
  • Foster strong relationships with attached bank branches, ARMs, and other key stakeholders in the location.
  • Negotiate effectively with the sales team and arrange meetings between them and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs).
  • Develop new tie-ups and support sales managers in similar initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Design and implement sales programs, contests, and presentations at the local level to boost sales performance.
  • Launch new products in the marketplace through strategic planning and execution.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop sales strategies to enhance market share across all product lines and identify new business opportunities.
  • Analyze changing market trends, channel deployment, and training needs to provide actionable feedback to RSMs.
  • Promote high employee engagement, motivation, and satisfaction to drive results.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Risk teams to contribute to overall processes and profitability across locations.

    Qualifications:

    To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

    • A degree from a recognized institution, preferably with post-graduation qualifications.

    • Regulatory guidelines and norms understanding.
    • Effective communication skills in English and the local language.

    • Capacity to manage risk and uncertainty while maintaining a dynamic priority-setting environment.
    • Strong time management and deadline adherence skills.
