Purchasing Professional

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an experienced purchasing professional to fill a key role in our organization.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • They will conduct thorough assessments of supplier capabilities, including manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and financial stability.
  • The Purchasing Executive will negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • They will collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement in their processes, quality, and delivery performance.
  • The purchasing team will provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to enhance their capabilities and meet the company's requirements.
  • They will implement supplier development programs, including training, workshops, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • The purchasing team will analyze the cost structure of products and identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, process optimization, and material sourcing.
  • They will negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
  • The purchasing team will implement cost-saving initiatives throughout the supply chain, such as reducing lead times, improving inventory management, and optimizing logistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of supplier management, vendor development, and cost reduction.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
