Key Role Summary

The Key Finance and Business Administration Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the finance and administrative operations. This individual oversees day-to-day financial management, statutory compliance, procurement, insurance administration, and operational support.

Key Deliverables:

  • Establish fully functional finance and accounting systems aligned with statutory requirements
  • Ensure timely monthly payroll, tax filings, and PF/ESIC submissions
  • Maintain valid and current insurance policies covering public liability and cyber risks
  • Implement effective financial risk controls and cash flow forecasts
  • Comply with all relevant Indian regulatory obligations
Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Financial Management and Reporting:
    • Manage accounting systems and processes for timely bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian statutory requirements.
    • Monitor expenses, budgets, and cash flow to support sustainable business operations.
  • Payroll, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance:
    • Oversee employee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour, tax, and provident fund laws.
    • Manage TDS, GST (if applicable), and other statutory filings with relevant authorities.
  • Insurance and Risk Management:
    • Lead the procurement, review, and renewal of essential business insurance policies.
    • Cover public liability, cybersecurity risks, and other liabilities arising from cross-border data handling.
  • Financial Instruments and Banking Infrastructure:
    • Establish and manage banking relationships, ensuring optimal account structures for operational efficiency.
  • Procurement and Office Operations:
    • Manage procurement of IT equipment, software licences, and office supplies.
