Job Title: Purchasing Expert

Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and knowledgeable Purchasing Professional with over 10 years of expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, cost reduction, supply planning, and ERP systems across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery: Conduct engaging training sessions on procurement processes, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and ERP systems to enhance the skills of procurement teams.
  • Provide hands-on training in contract negotiation strategies, supplier risk assessment, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and update training materials, case studies, and practical simulations tailored to the medical devices, automotive, and electrical industries.
  • e-Learning Modules: Develop modules for procurement processes, supplier scorecards, and sourcing workflows.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with procurement leaders, supply chain managers, and quality teams to align training with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess trainees' skills and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management – experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Vendor Management & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) – including supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and development programs to foster strong relationships.
  • Contract Negotiation & Risk Management – strong knowledge of commercial terms, SLAs, and risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's interests.
  • Cost Reduction & Value Engineering – proven track record in cost-saving initiatives and process optimization to enhance profitability.
  • Supply Planning & Inventory Management – ability to integrate procurement planning with production demand to ensure smooth operations.
  • ERP Systems Expertise – SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar procurement modules to leverage technology and streamline processes.
