Sun Life is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Procurement Centre of Excellence, this role will be responsible for providing sourcing value within the company's Canadian business, Corporate, and IT spend categories.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience, with a proven track record of leading sourcing initiatives, processes, and developing strategies. They will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work effectively with internal stakeholders to drive the sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of the sourcing process.
• Identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders.
• Support clients on related governance requirements.
• Assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, including contractual terms and conditions and escalations by internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Evaluate all related governance processes/policies and ensure they are adhered to prior to final approval.
• Apply project management concepts to the planning and execution of the sourcing process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
