Oracle Database Professional Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Specialist to fill this position. The primary responsibilities of this role will include managing Oracle databases on Exadata platforms with GoldenGate replication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Operations & Monitoring
    • Perform daily health checks on Oracle environments and Exadata components.
    • Monitor Oracle GoldenGate processes and execute basic restarts as per standard operating procedures.
    • Review alerts and track performance baselines.
  • Database Management, Patching, & Changes
    • Execute RMAN backup/restore activities and confirm successful completion.
    • Apply standard database patches and updates during maintenance windows.
    • Implement routine changes under change control.
  • Incident Response & Escalation
    • Triage alarms and restore services where possible.
    • Escalate incidents to higher-level support teams with clear context and timelines.
    • Contribute to post-incident reviews.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Enforce security policies and maintain accurate records.
  • Documentation & Collaboration
    • Update technical documentation and knowledge articles.
    • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and network teams.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Approximately one year of hands-on experience as a DBA with user/admin tasks, schema management, and privilege handling.
  • Basic understanding of Exadata and Linux administration.
  • Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager/Cloud Control, and SQL*Plus.
