Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

A housekeeping manager is a senior-level position that oversees the daily operations of a hotel's housekeeping department. This includes ensuring that all rooms and public spaces are clean, well-maintained, and meet the hotel's standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements strategies for housekeeping, including cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and inventory management.
  • Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate to ensure high-quality service and efficient operations.
  • Manages the operation of housekeeping, public space, and laundry areas; ensures that rooms and public spaces are spotless and continually restocked and straightened.
  • Ensures health/safety of employees and guests by maintaining hotel in accordance with statutes and regulations and directs and trains staff accordingly.
  • Oversees inventory, purchasing, disbursement, and cost control for all linens, cleaning supplies, customer room and restroom supplies, laundry supplies, etc.
  • Recruits and selects qualified candidates for housekeeping positions.
  • Provides employees with orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities.
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with ongoing feedback and coaching/counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and their fullest potential.
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the "Yes I Can" experience through performance that demonstrates genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
  • Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
